Weighing Administrator

Mellanskånes Renhållningsaktiebolag, MERAB, is a municipal waste management company owned by the municipalities of Eslöv, Hörby, and Höör. The company is responsible for waste management in the owner municipalities, including the collection and treatment of household and commercial waste. MERAB also operates the Rönneholm waste facility and six recycling centers. The company has around forty employees and generates approximately 125 million SEK in revenue annually.

We need help in customer service/weighing this summer

As a substitute in the weighing department, you will provide first-class service to customers, contractors, and colleagues who visit or contact us with their questions, comments, orders, and requests. An important part of the role is quality assurance of the waste being delivered and managing collection requests from our partners, etc.

The role includes:

Administration in our business system EDP Future/Mobile

Weighing Administration:

- involves receiving, checking, and weighing incoming and outgoing vehicles with various types of waste and materials.

- preparing invoice documentation and invoicing for incoming waste types and container transports

- managing internal work orders

- ordering waste collection

- receiving goods and package deliveries to the waste facility

- informing and guiding customers at the facility.

- and assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.

As a weighing administrator, you will have close contact with both drivers and machine operators.

Administration in our weighing program ScanX is also part of the job.

The employment will start with training from regular staff.

We offer a full-time position from Monday to Friday during the period tentatively from June 1 to August 22. We welcome all applicants but prefer that you are a student at the beginning of your higher education, as there may be opportunities for recurring substitutes during busy periods and school holidays.

What challenges will you face with us?

To succeed in the role as a substitute, you need to have good computer skills, be quick to learn, and possess strong social skills and a sense of good service.

MERAB is a small organization where you will become part of the team, so you need to be helpful, responsible, flexible, self-driven, and have a good ability to collaborate as well as a good sense of order.

Since the work is fast-paced during the period, you need to be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks under pressure without compromising your service or the quality of your work.

Requirements:

We view it positively if you have experience with the business system EDP Future/Mobile and experience in invoicing and customer service.

Experience in weighing waste with the ScanX program is an advantage.

If you also have experience in the environmental and waste management sector, that is a clear bonus.

You must also have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

A driver's license (B) and access to a car are also required, as public transportation is very limited.

Employment type: Period 1/6 2025—22/8 2025

Location: MERAB's Recycling Park, a waste facility outside Stehag.

Scope: Full-time 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Start date: Desired from June 1, 2025
